BACKGROUND

John and I will be biking End to End , from Land's End to John O'Groats in the UK starting 2 September 2012

This blog will document that ride. I will post as often as I can, including photos wherever possible. Access to the internet may not always be possible.

The ride will be about 1000 miles long. The record time is just under two days, and many people do it in about two weeks. We are allowing four weeks, and are not intent on breaking any records.

We are hoping for good weather, because if the weather is bad we will not be riding!!

We are biking on touring bikes, two rear panniers each, John with a handlebar bag, and I have a rear rack bag. We will be staying in B and B's or hotels. Our first night is already booked, just south of Penzance, as are our train tickets from London to Penzance. Otherwise we are taking our chances as we go re: accomodation.
